- Staff was excellent at the desk. Had several issues and they helped me fast and gave me full support. They have been friendly and available all time. I appreciated it greatly. - Location was very good and the services (Spa, Jacuzzi) were great. - My room had a very nice view of the library, which I enjoyed. - The hotel is quite modern and I like the design
- Room cleaning service: I stayed 2 nights and the first one my room was not cleaned, just towels were changed. I am not sure if it was just an accident as I saw the service passing around and being efficient. - There were works going on in the entrance, which I don't recall being informed of when I called them. Totally understandable given it was off season. - There was no real wardrobe in my room, even if I was in a standard room.
Reception staff all very helpful and spoke perfect English . Location excellent for getting around .
From the description and photographs on the web site I expected a room with a view of the harbor . In fact the hotel only has three rooms with a view of the harbor . Majority of rooms look out onto the hotel opposite and if you're really lucky like us you can have a room overlooking the main street directly above the bus stop.
atmosphere, location, staff, clean, spacious room, view from restaurant, internet
very little storage facility for clothes etc. in room (no wardrobe, no cupboard, no drawers) weather :-)
Good city centre location. Friendly staff. Great breakfast - best of our trip!
Small room but it was very nicely appointed.
Friendly helpful staff, good harbour front location, good breakfast facility, convenient location for transfers,
Refurbishment in progress
Location excllent. very near Hurtigruten and shops. On the quay of the picturesque harbour.
Normal double rooms are far too small. no cupboards. no minibar. You can only take a backpack no big cases.
Friendly staff, good buffet breakfast, perfect location, open-air hot- tub.
Virtually no wardrobe/drawer space for clothes - you need to 'live out of your suitcase'.
This hotel is much to expensive. You pay a lot of money for 1 night and then you must also pay a lot of money for carparking. The rooms don't have a view only on the parking space or in in the office buidling next to the hotel.
Clean, good location, friendly, comfortable bed, free tea and coffee in reception all day
The room was small with no outlook. Although there were two of us it was only set up for one with one towel in the bathroom. We received a 3am and 8am wake up call neither was asked for. The hotel is under renovation and the public rooms are a bit of a tip! We complained and were given a partial refund, however I would suggest finding somewhere else to stay!
close to the arrival of Hurtigruten
noisy meeting in close room at 24:00
The hotel was convenient for joining the Hurtigruten ship
Location, breakfast, staff and sauna and jacuzzi
Not enough storage space and shower floods bathroom floor
Very pleasant comfortable room and good breakfast. Also very conveniently situated.
Expensive - but that is Norway for you.
